The minimum that works
Start with name, role, organization, and one direct line of contact. For consultants, that means Sarah Chen → Strategy Consultant → Chen Advisory → a single way to reach you. Add the role-specific fields (practice area, calendar link) only when they reduce friction for the recipient, not when they signal credentials.
What to leave out
Skip motivational quotes, multi-line legal disclaimers if you don't need them, and image-heavy designs. Outlook, the inbox most likely to receive your reply, strips images and breaks tables. Plain text with a single rule between sections survives every client.
